NaraBox TV (“NaraBox”, “we”, “us”) operates a streaming service focused on VJ (video jockey) narrated movies and series. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how we protect it, and the choices available to you when you use our website, mobile apps, or TV apps.
Information we collect
Account and profile
When you register, we may collect your name, email address, phone number when phone sign-in is used, password hash, and optional profile details such as a profile photo.
Sign-in providers
If you sign in with Google or another provider we enable, we receive identifiers and basic profile information from that provider as permitted by the consent you give them.
Payments and subscriptions
Third-party payment providers may process payments. We retain transaction references, purchase history, and subscription status as needed to provide the service. Card and wallet details are handled under the payment provider’s policies. If you upload an image as proof of a manual payment, we use it only for verification, fraud prevention, and support.
Viewing activity and preferences
We may record titles you play, playback progress, favourites, searches, ratings, and similar activity to provide playback history, recommendations, and service improvements.
Device and technical information
We may collect device type, operating system and app version, IP address, network information, device or installation identifiers, crash reports, and diagnostic logs to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
Notifications
If you opt in, we register a push-notification token to send release, account, security, and service notices. You can disable notifications in your device settings.
Permissions
Depending on your device and the features you use, NaraBox may request camera access for profile images or QR features, photo or media access for selecting images such as payment proof, notification permission for optional alerts, and network access for streaming, sign-in, and app services. Optional permissions can be declined, although the related feature may not work.
Cookies and local storage
Our website may use cookies or browser storage for sessions, security, preferences, service operations, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
How we use information
- Provide accounts, streaming, purchases, subscriptions, and customer support.
- Remember playback progress and personalise your experience.
- Verify payments, prevent fraud, and protect users and the service.
- Diagnose crashes, measure performance, and improve NaraBox products.

Advertising
We do not currently use the advertising ID for personalised advertising. If this changes, we will update this policy and request consent where required.
Sharing
We may share information with service providers that help us deliver hosting, content, payments, analytics, crash reporting, email, SMS, push notifications, security, and customer support. These providers may process information only for the services they perform for us and under appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or during a business reorganisation. We do not sell personal information.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so you should also protect your password and devices and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service and meet security, legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution requirements. Some records may be retained in aggregated or de-identified form.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your information. You can update available profile details in the app and control notifications or permissions in your device settings. To close your account and request deletion, follow our data-deletion instructions.
Children
NaraBox is not directed to children below the age at which they can consent to data processing under applicable local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from young children. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied information should contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
International transfers
Information may be processed in Uganda and in other countries where NaraBox or its service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will publish the current version at this address and provide additional notice for material changes where appropriate.
